Obesity and the corresponding burden of related diseases is a major public health issue worldwide that reaching pandemic proportions. Bariatric surgery only intervention has been shown to result in substantial lasting weight loss, decrease overall mortality for patients with severe obesity. Consequently, population having undergone this procedure increasing. Multifactorial weight-dependent independent mechanisms underlying metabolic could also drive preventable, but potentially life-threatening, long-term nutritional complications. However, given post-bariatric are prone functional gastrointestinal symptoms complications might be challenging. This Review focused on prevention treatment after bariatric clinical setting.
